Tourism Students Enhance Guide Skills on Eco-Trail, Preserving Local Heritage

Tourism students from the International School of Tourism at Surathani Rajabhat University participated in a practical training event aimed at developing their skills as professional tour guides along the eco-trail in the local community. This activity, supported by community leaders and experts in ecotourism, focused on enhancing communication techniques and effective tour management.

Tourism Students Hone Guiding Skills on Forest, Mountain, and Coastal Routes While Preserving Local Heritage

On September 17, 2024, Tourism major students from the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, participated in an immersive tour guiding skill development activity, covering forest, mountain, and coastal routes. This hands-on practice, a key part of their curriculum, was supported by local community leaders and experts in eco-tourism.

The purpose of the activity was to develop the students' tour guiding abilities, focusing on communication skills, tour management, and professional presentation. The students were introduced to local historical, cultural, and traditional knowledge, integrating it into their tour guiding practice. During the activity, they engaged in forest hiking, ecological route exploration, and knowledge sharing sessions with community members.

Additionally, this program helped students understand the importance of natural resource conservation and preserving the way of life in local communities, contributing to the sustainable development of tourism in the region. It was a valuable opportunity for students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, building both confidence and skills for future careers in the tourism industry.
