On 25 September 2026, students from the International School of Tourism (IST), Suratthani Rajabhat University (SRU), participated in the “TO BE NUMBER ONE Festival, Suratthani Rajabhat University” at the Auditorium, Dipangkorn Rasmijoti Building, Suratthani Rajabhat University.

Organized by the Student Development Division of Suratthani Rajabhat University, the event aimed to provide a positive and creative space where students could express their talents, develop their potential, make productive use of their free time, and strengthen their psychological resilience. The activities also supported the creation of a strong university community committed to the concept of “Be Number One Without Drugs.”

Assistant Professor Dr. Wattana Rattanaprom, President of Suratthani Rajabhat University, assigned Dr. Somprat Wutthichan, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Network, to preside over the opening ceremony. Mr. Pradiphan Pankham, President of the SRU TO BE NUMBER ONE Club, delivered the project report.

One of the highlights of the event was the TO BE NUMBER ONE POWER STAGE, which provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents through creative performances featuring TO BE NUMBER ONE songs. The competition was designed not only as a stage for performance, but also as a learning experience that encouraged creativity, confidence, teamwork, friendship, and pride in being part of the TO BE NUMBER ONE community.

Through their dedication and teamwork, students representing the International School of Tourism received an Honorable Mention in the competition. The achievement represents more than an award; it reflects the students’ willingness to step beyond the classroom, discover their potential, take responsibility, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively toward a shared goal.

The festival brought together students from eight academic units across Suratthani Rajabhat University: the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Management Sciences, International School of Tourism, and Samui College of Interdisciplinary Studies.

Their participation helped strengthen collaboration across the university and expand the TO BE NUMBER ONE network, creating opportunities for students to build friendships, support one another, and take an active role in promoting positive and drug-free lifestyles.

For IST students, participation in the TO BE NUMBER ONE POWER STAGE was therefore more than a competition. It was an opportunity to develop creativity, social skills, confidence, teamwork, and psychological resilience while contributing to a supportive university environment where young people can learn, grow, and express themselves positively.

The activity reflects IST’s commitment to student development beyond academic learning, empowering students to become capable, responsible, and socially engaged young people while contributing to the shared vision of being “Smart and Good — Be Number One Without Drugs.”
