THM Empowers Freshmen through Study Visits to Leading Tour Operators and Hotels

The Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) program at the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, conducted an industry-focused field trip for first-year students, offering practical exposure to renowned tourism and hospitality businesses to prepare them for future careers.

The activity entitled “The World of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Tour and Hotel Business 2025” is a key component of the THM program, designed to develop students' competencies from their first academic year. Students were divided into interest groups—tourism and hotel businesses—for targeted learning experiences.

🔹 Tourism Business Interest Group
Students visited Lomlak Kirin High-Speed Ferry Co., Ltd. in Koh Samui, Surat Thani. The visit provided insight into marine tourism operations, customer service strategies, and integrated business management in a high-speed ferry company known for its professional excellence.

🔹 Hotel Business Interest Group
Students visited two internationally recognized 4-5 star hotels in Krabi Province:

  • Dusit Thani Krabi Beach Resort

  • Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort
These site visits enabled students to observe and learn about global hotel operations, guest services, and professional hospitality standards.

This field trip not only emphasized experiential learning but also served as an inspiration to students by bridging classroom knowledge with real-world application—laying a strong foundation for their future in the tourism and hospitality industry.
