Creatively Communicating a Story Through a Beverage
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, congratulates Mr. Nonthaphat Nadee on receiving the Best Story Telling Special Award in the Classic Bartender category of the regional bartending skills competition for Southern Thailand at the IST Young Bartender Championship 2026.
Best Story Telling Special Award
The award recognizes a contestant’s ability to connect a creative concept, meaningful story, selected ingredients and the identity of a beverage, and communicate these elements effectively and memorably to the judges and audience.
The competition was organized under the theme “Local Meets Global: Inspired by Southern Identity, Crafted with Creativity.” The event provided a platform for young participants to demonstrate their bartending skills, creativity and ability to apply Southern ingredients and local identity in beverage creations that communicate local value from a global perspective.
The competition took place on 21 July 2026 at the Auditorium, Dipangkorn Rasmijoti Building, Suratthani Rajabhat University. Contestants from educational institutions across Southern Thailand participated in the event to demonstrate their skills and exchange professional experience in hospitality and creative beverage preparation.
Best Story Telling: More Than Presenting a Beverage
The Best Story Telling Award considers more than the appearance and taste of a beverage. It also recognizes the contestant’s ability to communicate a clear concept, create a story connected to selected ingredients and local identity, explain the inspiration behind the creation, and present the beverage with confidence and professionalism.
Mr. Nonthaphat’s achievement reflects his dedication to practice, creative thinking and ability to apply hospitality knowledge to the design of meaningful customer experiences. These competencies are important for careers in hotels, tourism, food and beverage services, and the wider national and international service industries.
