From March 20–22, 2025, the International School of Tourism (IST), Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized the “Khao Sok: Our Home, Our PRIDE Project” under the Social Engineer Classroom initiative. The activities were held at Ban Bang Pru School, the Chao Eco Farm Stays Community Learning Center, and the Youth Camp Meeting Hall at Khao Sok National Park, Khlong Sok Subdistrict, Phanom District, Surat Thani Province.
The project welcomed over 50 students from local schools, including Ban Bang Pru School, Ban Yah Plong School, and Wat Tham Wararam School. IST students took the lead in organizing the activities, supported by faculty members and respected community leaders.
The main objective of the project was to encourage local youth to appreciate and take pride in their natural resources, cultural heritage, and local identity. Participants were guided to express these elements through drawings, videos, and foreign languages—especially English—so that international tourists could better understand and appreciate the uniqueness of the area.
This initiative reflects IST’s commitment to fostering community engagement by enabling students to apply their knowledge and contribute meaningfully to local development.
