To preserve Thailand’s cherished cultural heritage and strengthen unity among its community, the International School of Tourism at Suratthani Rajabhat University organized a Songkran event to celebrate the traditional Thai New Year. The event reflects values of respect, gratitude, and community bonding rooted in Thai society.
On April 10, 2025, the International School of Tourism at Suratthani Rajabhat University organized an event titled “Songkran: Embracing Thai Traditions Together” at the college premises. The event was well attended by faculty members, staff, and students, and aimed to promote cultural values while fostering warm relationships among participants.
Key activities included a morning alms-giving ceremony to Buddhist monks for good fortune, a traditional water-pouring ceremony to seek blessings from elders, and a joyful gathering with participants wearing bright floral shirts, which added a festive touch to the occasion.
The event was filled with smiles, warmth, and a strong sense of unity, showcasing the college’s commitment to preserving Thai traditions as a living heritage within the academic community.
