IST Expands Global Learning Opportunities as Aviation Business Students Begin International CWIE at Jinjiang Airport, China

From Classroom to Global Aviation Experience

The International School of Tourism (IST), Suratthani Rajabhat University, continues to expand international experiential learning opportunities through academic cooperation with Quanzhou College of Technology in Jinjiang, China. As part of this collaboration, two Aviation Business students will undertake an International Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) placement at Jinjiang Airport through December 2026.

As another important step toward strengthening international learning experiences, representatives from the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, had the opportunity to meet Dean He Zhenpeng and faculty members of Quanzhou College of Technology, Jinjiang, China. The delegation received a warm welcome, while both institutions exchanged perspectives on academic cooperation and opportunities to enhance international learning experiences for students.

The meeting reflects the commitment of both institutions to connecting classroom-based learning with practical international experience. It also provides a platform for students to strengthen professional competencies, language and communication skills, intercultural understanding, and their ability to adapt to diverse working environments.

✈️ From Classroom to Global Aviation Experience

As part of this opportunity, two Aviation Business students will undertake an International CWIE placement at Jinjiang Airport in China through December 2026, gaining first-hand experience in an international aviation environment.

The International CWIE experience will enable students to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real workplace situations within the aviation industry. They will gain exposure to operational practices, service environments, and workplace culture in an international setting, strengthening both professional competencies and essential skills for today's global workforce.

Beyond aviation-specific competencies, the students will have opportunities to enhance their language proficiency, intercultural communication, teamwork, and adaptability. These skills are increasingly important for future professionals seeking to work effectively within the international aviation industry.
