International School of Tourism Won Second Runner-up Consolation Prize in the Candle Decoration Contest

The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, participated in the 2025 Candle Decoration Contest organized by the Office of Arts and Culture on July 8, 2025. This annual activity aims to preserve and promote Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through the traditional Buddhist Lent Candle Procession.

In this event, students from the International School of Tourism collaborated to design and craft the candle beautifully and meticulously. Their work reflected Thai cultural identity, creativity, dedication, and strong teamwork, which impressed the judging committee and earned them the Second Runner-up Consolation Prize.

This activity not only showcased students’ artistic skills but also provided hands-on learning experiences, strengthened their teamwork abilities, and raised awareness of cultural preservation. It aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education, which promotes life skills and learning beyond classrooms, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, which emphasizes preserving cultural heritage and fostering community resilience.
