International School of Tourism Joins SRU Teacher Appreciation Ceremony 2026, Upholding Gratitude and Nurturing Future “Social Engineers”

Preserving a Cherished Thai Tradition

The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, proudly participated in the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony for the Academic Year 2026. The event provided students with an opportunity to express their gratitude, respect, and appreciation to their lecturers while helping preserve one of Thailand’s most meaningful cultural traditions.

The ceremony was filled with warmth, smiles, and memorable moments. Students joined the event with enthusiasm and respect, receiving valuable guidance and encouragement from faculty members that will inspire them throughout their academic journey and university life.

SRU Hosts the Ceremony Under the Theme “Creators of Social Engineers”

Suratthani Rajabhat University organized the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony for the Academic Year 2026 under the theme “Creators of Social Engineers.” The event aimed to cultivate morality, ethics, and gratitude toward teachers, which are fundamental qualities in developing graduates who possess knowledge, competence, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

More than 3,000 first-year students participated in the ceremony. Associate Professor Dr. Wattana Rattanaprom, President of Suratthani Rajabhat University, assigned Associate Professor Dr. Sane Boonkamnerd, Vice President for University Council Affairs, to preside over the event on 2 July 2026 at Vajiralongkorn Auditorium, Suratthani Rajabhat University.

The ceremony included the presentation of the “Beloved Teacher Award” to outstanding lecturers selected from every faculty, a Buddhist merit-paying ritual, the student pledge led by the President of the Student Organization, and the traditional teacher-honoring ceremony conducted in an atmosphere of respect, admiration, and unity.

Developing Quality Graduates for Sustainable Society

Beyond being a cultural tradition, the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony symbolizes the strong bond between teachers and students. It serves as a powerful source of inspiration that encourages learning, personal growth, ethical development, and the pursuit of excellence.

The event also reflects Suratthani Rajabhat University’s commitment to developing “Social Engineers” who combine academic knowledge with integrity, volunteerism, and civic responsibility.
