The International School of Tourism at Suratthani Rajabhat University welcomed representatives from Intro Travel, Australia, to discuss collaborative approaches for enhancing student development through Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), aiming to create career pathways for students in the global tourism industry.

Dr. Jeerati Poon-iead, Dean of the International School of Tourism at Suratthani Rajabhat University, together with the curriculum committee of the Tourism and Hospitality Management program, recently hosted Mr. Brad Fordham (Recruitment Manager) and Ms. Puntita Joergensen (Group Leader) from Intro Travel, a leading international tour company from Australia with over two decades of industry experience.

The meeting centered on the development of student potential through Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) — a model that integrates academic learning with hands-on experience. Key discussion points included:

  • Internship opportunities for THM students with Intro Travel

  • Joint development of skill-based learning activities aligned with tourism industry needs

  • Creating pathways for graduates to pursue employment opportunities with Intro Travel
