The Aviation Business program, International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized a study trip to Don Mueang International Airport and the Royal Thai Air Force Museum in Bangkok as part of the initiative to promote learning through real-life travel experiences.
This activity offered students a first-hand experience with the full process of traveling by commercial aircraft, including:
Booking and seat reservation
Check-in and baggage drop
Security checkpoint procedures
Utilizing airport passenger facilities
Boarding and disembarking the aircraft
Students were also encouraged to critically evaluate the in-flight services they received—analyzing from both the perspectives of future service providers and passengers—enhancing their ability to observe and assess real-world operations in aviation and service-related fields.
At Don Mueang Airport, students were guided through ground operation areas and learned about:
Passenger flow and space management
Flight scheduling and coordination
Commercial services within the airport
Cross-functional collaboration among aviation logistics units
This exposure deepened their understanding of how efficient airport operations are orchestrated through teamwork and precision.
The visit continued at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum, where students explored Thailand’s aviation history through exhibits of aircraft from different eras. They gained insights into technological development, historical missions, and the role of aviation in national defense.
The trip not only bridged classroom learning with real-world experience but also fostered pride in the evolution of Thailand’s aviation industry—both in civilian and military contexts—on regional and global stages.
