Category: IST News

The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, aims to provide high-quality education and enhance students’ potential for the global hospitality workforce through its partnership with Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The newly launched Butler Academy Program is a co-created curriculum aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, officially signed an academic collaboration agreement with Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve under Marriott International on July 4, 2025, at INNO Conference Room, Tipangkorn Rassamee Chot Building, Suratthani Rajabhat University. The agreement was signed by Dr. Jeerati Poon-iead, Dean of the International School of Tourism, and Mr. Arnon Petchcharoen, Director of Human Resources at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Key executives from Marriott International, including Mr. Pacharat Niyomtiernsin, Cluster Talent Acquisition Manager Thailand, and Ms. Raewadee Rakmuang, Quality and Learning & Development Manager, also attended the ceremony.

After the signing ceremony, Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, hosted a special session with students from the Tourism and Hospitality Management program to introduce and recruit them for the Butler Academy Program. This 12-month training program aims to shape students into professional butlers capable of delivering world-class service.
