SRU’s International School of Tourism Collaborates with Local Community to Launch “Squid Fest & Music Camp @Koh Paluai 2025”

On June 23, 2025, Dr. Jeerati Poon-iead, Dean of the International School of Tourism, along with Assoc. Dean Ms. Jaree Prommana and academic staff from Suratthani Rajabhat University, visited Baan Plai Laem, Koh Paluai, Ang Thong Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, to coordinate with the Koh Paluai Community-Based Ecotourism Enterprise in preparation for the upcoming event “Squid Fest & Music Camp @Koh Paluai 2025.”

This event is a collaboration between the academic sector and the local community to promote sustainable and responsible tourism. The festival will celebrate local identity through art, music, cuisine, and islander lifestyle, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Koh Paluai. It aims to strengthen collaboration across government sectors, communities, and youth groups.
