Students from the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University (IST SRU) participated in the “Preparation Camp for International Cooperative Education Students 2025”, organized by Walailak University from March 9-11, 2025. The camp took place at M Hotel, Sadao District, Songkhla Province, and Penang, Malaysia.
This training aimed to enhance students’ skills and readiness for international cooperative education programs. The camp featured several key activities, including:
📌 March 9, 2025
🔹 Opening Ceremony led by Dr. Chattanat Techopisarnwong, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development.
🔹 Team-building activities to foster connections.
🔹 Survival English training for international cooperative education students.
🔹 Workshops on essential skills such as asking for assistance, reading English menus, immigration procedures, and airport announcements.
🔹 Integrated English learning through hands-on workshops, including “Tour Guide,” “Airport Check-in,” “Thai Dancing,” and “Thai Food.”
📌 March 10, 2025
🔹 Travel to Penang, Malaysia.
🔹 PENANG SURVIVAL activities in Georgetown, helping students adapt to new environments.
🔹 Practical survival skills training, including purchasing food from street vendors.
📌 March 11, 2025
🔹 After Action Review – reflecting on and sharing experiences from the camp.
🔹 Closing ceremony and return to Thailand.
This camp provided an excellent opportunity for IST SRU students to develop English communication skills, experience different cultures, and prepare for living and working abroad. The knowledge and skills gained will be invaluable for their cooperative education programs and future career paths.
