Aviation Students Practice International Dining Etiquette to Enhance Professional Image

First-year Aviation Business students engaged in hands-on learning through real-world practice to enhance their personality and etiquette, preparing them for careers in international hospitality and service industries.

Recently, first-year students in Group 1 of the Aviation Business program at the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, participated in a practical training session on international dining etiquette at “Sindhu” restaurant. This activity is part of the course “Personality Development and Service Psychology in Aviation Business,” which is held annually to enhance students’ personality, Thai and international etiquette, and social readiness.

The activity provided students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge they had learned in both theory and classroom practice to a real-life setting. It aimed to build their confidence in using tableware and practicing formal dining etiquette. The practice menu included:

  • Shrimp paste bread with betel leaf butter

  • Fruit salad with fish ham

  • Tom Yum Goong Bisque

  • Duck leg confit (focus on proper knife and fork use)

  • Pickled lime granita (palate cleanser)

This training is a vital part of shaping future aviation professionals, ensuring that they are well-equipped to conduct themselves gracefully and professionally in diverse social and service contexts.
