The International School of Tourism (IST), Surat Thani Rajabhat University, organized the “IST Computer and AI Skills Development Workshop” for students from December 19–21, 2025, between 09:00 and 16:00 hrs. at Room 807, IST 80th Anniversary Building. The event was honored by two expert lecturers from the Center for Learning Innovation, Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology (ARIT), Surat Thani Rajabhat University, who delivered intensive hands-on training.
The workshop aimed to enhance digital literacy and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for both academic and professional purposes. It focused on preparing students for the international labor market in the tourism, aviation, and service industries, directly addressing the demand for “Future Skills.”
It is expected that participating students have gained essential knowledge and skills in computing and AI, enabling them to apply these tools effectively. This initiative ensures they are competitive in the digital labor market, aligning with the IST graduate attributes of being a “Smart – Competent – Global Citizen.”
The "IST Computer and AI Skills Development Workshop" is a proactive response to modern labor market demands. This project directly supports the Sustainable Development Goals regarding Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8). It focuses on bridging the digital divide and equipping students with the technical skills necessary to become quality global citizens.
