The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized the Wai Kru Ceremony for the 2025 academic year to provide students with an opportunity to express their respect, gratitude, and appreciation for their teachers. This long-standing tradition aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting quality education, peaceful and inclusive societies, and strong institutional cooperation.
The Wai Kru Ceremony for the 2025 academic year was held on July 3, 2025, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at Wachiralongkorn Auditorium. The event was attended by faculty members and students from the International School of Tourism, creating a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.
The ceremony aimed to encourage students to show gratitude and respect towards their teachers, who dedicate themselves to sharing knowledge and guiding them through personal and professional development. This supports SDG 4: Quality Education, which focuses on fostering lifelong learning and instilling strong values among learners.
Moreover, the ceremony helped strengthen mutual respect and a sense of peace within the academic community, resonating with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. By building meaningful connections between students and teachers, the event also reflected the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, emphasizing cooperation and unity within educational institutions.
This activity not only preserves Thailand’s beautiful cultural heritage but also inspires students to set new goals, cultivate positive energy, and embark on the new academic year with motivation and determination for lifelong learning.
