On July 9, 2025, the International School of Tourism (IST) at Surat Thani Rajabhat University (SRU), led by its faculty, staff, and students, participated in the traditional Candle Festival procession for the year 2025. The event was organized by the Office of Arts and Culture of SRU to present Lent candles and perform the candle-lit circumambulation ceremony at Wat Phukhao Thong and Wat Sila Suwannaram in Mueang Surat Thani District.
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, participated in the 2025 Candle Decoration Contest organized by the Office of Arts and Culture on July 8, 2025. This annual activity aims to preserve and promote Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through the traditional Buddhist Lent Candle Procession.
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, in collaboration with Khlong Sok Subdistrict Administrative Organization and Khao Sok Community Tourism Group, organized the “Junior Guide: Social Engineer Classroom” project to develop local youth in Khlong Sok. The initiative aims to nurture a new generation of guides with a strong love for their hometown, deep appreciation for natural resources, and the ability to share community stories with international visitors. This project directly supports SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, aims to provide high-quality education and enhance students’ potential for the global hospitality workforce through its partnership with Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The newly launched Butler Academy Program is a co-created curriculum aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized a volunteer community service activity to promote a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment. The students and staff were assigned to improve the area around Building 4 (the former IST building).
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized the Wai Kru Ceremony for the 2025 academic year to provide students with an opportunity to express their respect, gratitude, and appreciation for their teachers. This long-standing tradition aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting quality education, peaceful and inclusive societies, and strong institutional cooperation.
