THM Partners with Institute for Skill Development to Host Beverage Mixing Training, Preparing Students for National Skill Standard Certification

Category: IST News

The Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) program at the International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, has collaborated with the Surat Thani Institute for Skill Development 11 to organize an intensive 30-hour beverage mixing workshop to prepare students for their professional internships.

The training, held from March 24-28, 2025, at Suratthani Rajabhat University, was attended by 3rd-year students preparing for their CWIE in Food & Beverage services and 4th-year transfer students preparing for their cooperative education. The workshop was led by Mr. Jitdilok Suaysun, an expert in beverage mixing, who provided in-depth knowledge and hands-on practical skills training. The curriculum covered various mixing techniques, the use of basic bar tools, and professional drink garnishing.

The primary objective of this project was to prepare students for the national skill standard assessment in the Food and Beverage occupation. This certification will increase their potential and competitiveness in the job market for the growing hotel, restaurant, and beverage business sectors.

Upon successful completion of the training, students received a certificate from the Institute for Skill Development and became eligible to apply for the national skill standard certification exam. This is a key factor that validates their readiness for the professional working world.
