Learning Through Authentic Aviation Practice
The International School of Tourism, Suratthani Rajabhat University, organized SRU Aviation Announcement Contest 2026 on 7 August 2026 at the Auditorium, Dipangkorn Rasmijoti Building. The event gave school and university students a stage to develop and demonstrate communication, personality, safety, and professional aviation skills.
Two competition formats recreated key operational situations from airports and aircraft cabins. Together, they connected classroom knowledge with practice, encouraged confidence, and introduced participants to the standards expected in aviation and service careers.
Boarding Announcement Contest
Professional Passenger Boarding Announcement
Passenger boarding announcements are among the first important communication touchpoints between an airline and its passengers. The competition assessed much more than the ability to read a prepared script: contestants had to deliver complete information accurately, clearly, naturally, and with professional confidence.

Cabin Crew Pre-Departure Announcement Contest
Pre-Departure Announcement and Safety Demonstration
University students performed a realistic cabin crew scenario that combined pre-departure announcements with safety demonstrations. Each team integrated language, service, safety procedures, professional image, and coordinated teamwork into one smooth performance reflecting real cabin operations.

Dr. Khankchai Wongchana
A faculty member at Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus, with expertise in Business English, presentation, tourism communication, and intercultural communication. He earned his doctorate from the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.
Mr. Chaisamchat Somwangnachapol
With over twenty years in aviation, he has extensive experience in airport operations, passenger services, airline sales, and aircraft load control across several international and Thai aviation organizations.
Mr. Anupong Kaewphaluek
A Senior Traffic Officer with China Airlines, he brings more than ten years of experience in passenger and baggage services, airline communication, airport service management, Amadeus systems, and aviation customer service training.
Ms. Saimai Thongboonyang
A former flight attendant with nine years of professional experience at Asiana Airlines and Thai AirAsia, she contributes practical knowledge of airline service, aviation safety, international hospitality, and professional cabin standards.
