IST SRU Organizes Thesis Proposal Defense for Master’s Students, Highlighting Research Standards in Tourism

On January 21, 2026, the International School of Tourism (IST), Suratthani Rajabhat University, conducted a thesis proposal defense for three students in the Master of Arts Program in Tourism Business and Services Management. This event aims to promote and enhance the research potential of graduate students.

The students presented thesis proposals on the following interesting topics:

  1. "Understanding Cruise Passengers' Motivation: Cross-Cultural Differences" by Mr. Chenjun Huang

  2. "The Impact of Mega-Events on Local Tourism: A Case Study of Chinese Fans Attending Concerts and Traveling to Thailand" by Mr. Zhentao Chen

  3. "The Impact of Cross-Cultural Communication and Adaptation on Tourist Satisfaction: A Case Study of Chinese Tourists Traveling to Thailand" by Miss Zifeng Guo

The examination committee, comprising distinguished experts who provided valuable feedback, included:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Siyathorn Nakphin – Chairperson (Expert Committee Member from the Graduate School of Tourism Management, National Institute of Development Administration - NIDA)

  • Dr. Wirun Phichaiwongphakdee – Committee Member
